PROPOSED BUILDING RENDERING AT 1415 CALIFORNIA STREET, HOUSTON, TEXAS 77006

VISION FOR THE FUTURE

Legacy's vision is to continue to serve as a healthcare home by building a network of community clinics where people will feel welcomed and respected while receiving the highest quality healthcare services, regardless of their ability to pay. Ultimately, we want to build healthy communities.

Legacy currently owns 13,000 square feet of clinical space, 4,000 square feet of administrative space, and rents 10,000 square feet of clinical space, all in a 4-mile radius near downtown Houston. Legacy has additional space at three clinics in outlying neighborhoods of Houston, including Fifth Ward and Gulfton.

Legacy’s goal for the Building on Our Legacy campaign is to combine the healthcare programs and services and administrative offices currently located in three separate buildings in Montrose and Greenway Plaza into one building. This centrally located facility will eliminate the need to rent clinical space, as well as the need to duplicate administrative positions at each separate location. Legacy will continue to operate the neighborhood clinics in Fifth Ward and Gulfton.

The new facility, to be located at 1415 California, will provide a central clinic and headquarters building and also serve as a centralized hub for Legacy’s neighborhood clinics. It will house eight specialty clinics, ten supportive programs, and four education-based community programs. Additionally, the facility and adjoining properties will include reserve space to accommodate future growth of the organization.

With centrally-located, expanded facilities and additional medical staff, lengthy waiting times for primary healthcare and mental health appointments will be drastically reduced, and more patients will be served at lower costs.
